Welcome to the virtual tour of the on-farm conservation
By this tour we take you through the villages in Ramnagara District, Kanakapura Taluk, Maralavadi Hobli, where the onform conservation of the fast disappearing inter and intra species diversity of finger millet, dryland rice and few wet land rice is vested with farmers in different villages. Vegetable diversity is conserved during the rainy season in the kitchen gardens by women .

We take you to North Karnataka region to a different agroclimatic condition with black cotton soil covering nine districts – Bijapur, Bagalkot, Bellary, Gadag, Dharwad, Belgaum, Koppa, Haveri and Raichur. The rich diversity of sorghum, wheat, pulses, oilseeds and vegetables are conserved by 22 farmers group and individual farmers.
