The Foundation publishes bi-annual reports, quarterly newsletters in English and Kannada depicting on-going activities and programmes while there are other publications and CD-rom's that give a glimpse of GREEN Foundation's activities.

English Publication

1. Hidden Harvest - This publication captures a decade of Green Foundation's work on conservation of biodiversity and its multiple activities in other dimensions of sustainable agriculture.

 

2. Investing in Indigenous Knowledge - Our interaction with the farmers on developing mechanisms for organic ways of producing and protecting seeds have been captured. The book is towards retrieving the farmers knowledge to again reiterate the fact that there is science that is indisputable in farmer's knowledge. The richness of the information that is being shared to the rest of the community is no doubt invaluable and the right to access it vests with the farmers alone.

 

3. Seed Quest - A Journey Through Space And Time. Celebrating the journey of seed conservation across different agro climatic zones and go back in time to revive the historical evolution of the seeds of diversity.

 

4. Banking on Seeds - Process documentation of the genesis and growth of community seed banks, also promotion of on-farm conservation of traditional varieties and practices associated with agriculture. It has captured the experiences of 34 community Seed Banks set up in 8 agro-climatic regions of Karnataka in partnership with 11 NGOs

 

5. Rediscovering Foxtail Millet - A detailed discription of varietal diversity, croping patterns, processing, problems leading to extinction and recipes

1. Cultivating seed Links ( CD-ROM ) - An interactive CD ROM on bio-diversity and its conservation.

 

2. Community Seed Bank - as a way of managing Agro-biodiversity (CD -Rom) - gives a glimpse of GREEN foundation's activities in conserving indigenous varieties, stabilizing Community seed Banks and the role of women in managing seed banks.

Seeds In Internal Exile- (DVD) - The film depicts traditional bio diversity based dry land agricultural farming systems which rely on farmer selected and farmer developed varieties of cereals, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables etc. This approach we believe is crucial in providing wholesome food and good nutrition
